the atn mars thermal arrived this morning. just been out in park with it. its been raining so not the best of nights for thermal. looking at foxes at 100 to 150yds can identify no problem at all man walking dogs 250yds very good image lots of detail. very happy so far . will put it on 17hmr or 30fp theoben and let you know how i get on

put the atn mars thermal on my 17hmr and went out foxing last night. using my thermtec thermal spotter to film. been raining so not the best for thermal . two foxes shot so well pleased footage on youtube b4ger731

I see it has been nearly a year since you bought your atn, how have you been with it, I'm buying one next week and wondered how your experience has been.

wouldent be without it . its brill shot a lot of foxes and rabbits with it. theres no messing about press a button its on. press button its of thats all i need

they both do the same job .the mars 4x18 as the edge but i dont mind witch one i use is the 4x18 worth the extra money no its not

Interesting. Use same setup i.e. Mars 4,5-18/50 and the Lv 5-10X/50 and the handy Lv is out with me 80 % of all time and shots taken 90% on 5X mag. My setup for boar only but does not make a difference apart from few shots further than 100 m.
Next step for me would be moving up to Ltv 650. More detail supposedly and photo function. The 650 is the top of the line of Lt's so still a but expensive.

My 5-10 X 50 turned up today, I had originally gone for the 35mm version but the supplier could only send a 19mm. That went back and I paid a little extra and bought the 50mm, glad I did.

It’s a lot clearer than my hik vision thermal. That gives me a blob of heat and quite difficult to identify what the intended target really is.
