ATN Range Finders

I’ve an ABL on and x Sight 2. Works fine and with its blue tooth connectivity to the ballistic calculator in the x Sight it’s ideal for an air rifle or rim fire. I just push the button on the rangefinder and the reticle in the scope moves to compensate for range; what’s not to like about that.
However, if I didn’t have an ATN scope, I’d go Leica or Vortex as you’ll pay for all the additional tech in the ATN you can’t use.

Im looking at the ATN 1000 , at a discount price of £169 . i to will be using the app . I want it for 1000 yard target . i have a Leupold + another for shorter ranges so i dont want to pay a lot for the amount of use it will get .
Will it be ok or do i need to spend more for a better one .

When I was researching a while ago, the prevailing opinion was that you should 1/2 the manufacturer's claim.
Thus a 1000m unit was good for about 500 in real world conditions.
That advice turned out right for me and the model xxx600 that I ended up buying.

And to be honest, I've never taken it stalking.
I take it when I go for a walk, just to practice, verify, my visual estimated range to a tree, or a gate, whatever.

Now I am reasonably good at establishing range.
