ATN X-SIGHT 4K PRO 5-20X

I use one. On the positive side the picture quality, the zoom facility, the ease of zeroing, the ability to use it well after last light in daylight mode before you switch over to night vision mode. The only negative is charging the unit with a usb.
Use SRX nv torch on it for maximum range.

I also use a Ward 800s nv unit but this is a lot more susceptible to moisture in the atmosphere and vision even using a Sightron can go from good to poor quite rapidly.
On a personal level if cash was not a problem I would fit an ATN 4K to all my rifles because of the good day / night vision and sell all my day scopes and other NV units.

That's really useful - thanks. How long does the unit take to charge and how long does the battery last in constant use?

It sounds like from your comments it's an awesome bit of kit - you just can't beat 1st hand experience. Thank you.

Might be worthwhile researching over on NVForumUK

AFAIK reviews have been a bit mixed.
Some of the reviews are mixed. Some people were comparing the early ATN scopes that were very unreliable and wouldn't hold zero. The 4k pro wasn't without its update issue's when first released. I think I'm on version 5 of updates now but at least the unit is stable in operation and does what it is suppose to and always has. The updates were only minor tweaks of the operating system.

Battery life is 12 hours. Full charge takes 4 hours.
Holds a charge well even if you don't use it for a few weeks

Rob for the money i don't think there is anything out there to beat it, stick a good IR with it and you will be well away. As for the battery i just keep mine topped up, they are quick to start up so no need to leave the unit switched on.

You might want to consider the PARD NV008 before buying an X Sight
The PARD is much smaller, neater and lighter, and uses a removable standard 18650 lithium ion rechargeable battery
It has a base magnification of x6 and x2 digital zoom bringing the maximum magnification up to x12
It can also be used as a hand held spotter.
It may not have all the "toys" found on the X sight, but it does have wifi and HD onboard recording.
Most importantly it has an excellent in built IR illuminator that's good out to ranges exceeding 150 yards.
You would need to spend another £150 ish to get an external illuminator on an X Sight that would match the performance of the PARDs inbuilt IR illuminator
The PARD 008 is also significantly cheaper to buy than an X Sight 5-20
You should also be aware that ATN have a terrible reputation for customer back up and service.
Finally, remember that the X Sight 5-20 has a base optical magnification of x5 and that to get to x20, digital magnification of x4 has to be applied
At x20 the image you see in the display is not going to be sharp
x15 is about the upper limit at which pixellation on the display would not be visible

Cheers

They'll be plenty more opinions I'm sure but I saw the ATN 4K at a show and thought it was superb, I was all for buying one but was put off by ATN's bad customer service rep.

I've just bought a Pard 008 instead and have to say it's pretty awesome, for foxing out to 150 metres I can't see how you would need anything else.

It's small compact and light and looks to be really well built, it's also a lot cheaper than the alternatives. It was really simple to mount and zero'd in 2 rounds.

One mistake I did make was ordering a Sirius XTL to go with it when I ordered the Pard. The Sirius is awesome but is just not needed at the ranges I shoot. Out to 150 metres the inbuilt IR is more than adequate and the Sirius weighs the same as the Pard so I've left it off, it just wasn't needed.

However it's early days and ironically having been put off by ATN's bad rep I've bought something from a company that I know nothing about and I haven't got a clue what sort of service I'll get if it goes wrong so only time will tell.

For now though I'm giving it 10 out of 10.

I’ve got the 3x14version had it since they were released. Paired with a decent after market ir the scope is probably best on the market. Clear as a bell out 300 yards and out to around 800 in the day time. Easy to mount and great eye relief. As with the pard xsight2 and wraith mounting was a pain and the eye relief was a nightmare. The scope has lots of functions what you can turn off and on also lots of accessories. Battery lasts for ever an easy 18hrs. I have lots of videos showing what the scope can do. Struggling to find any negatives other than the first few firmware updates had issues however now no problems. Can be paired with app which opens up a few more features. Having used and saw a few digital set ups I would say at the minute best on the market not the cheapest but not the dearest. With a good thermal spotter and ir the 4K is better than a lot of thermal scopes.

Hi Folks,

I've been looking at one of these: ATN X-Sight 4K Pro 5-20x Ultra HD Rifle Scopes - ATN best Day and Night Hunting rifle scope with camera

They look outstanding on the website, but does the reality match the advertising? Has anyone got any first hand experience that they'd be kind enough to share with me?

Thanks,
Rob
Had one of the first in the country practically gave it away didn't do what it says on the box and still don't.range finder still not available over a year since they promised it one updated screws up something else if you don't want all singing and dancing it's an ok sight just as a sight ballistics is no good compass crap vid record is crap compered to x sight 2 the list goes on and on

Hi. I bought one, about 5 months ago , to have something to use while my Drone was away for repair ( all the way to Ukraine, but that's another story.) The drone is in another league but this is use-able out to 250M at night with a laser IR. I actually enjoy using it in the daytime, think the digital gives you a steadier sight picture over a 20X scope, if that makes sense! Battery life is long but it is a pain having to charge the scope, not just drop in batteries. I have not used any of the gizmo's, just put on rifle and zeroed and have not yet had any problems with it.
Had a good price from Cliff Ray and he's a delight to deal with.

Bought one, it would crash 30 seconds after being turned on or if you went straight into zeroing it would go black screen and crash. Returned it for a refund and Never gave them another go.

I had one of the firs in the country it's crap as a simple scope fine because none of the other stuff works on it better of getting a pard

Agree

Thanks Gents. I took on board all the useful info and bought a PARD 008. The ATN was extremely heavy when I trialled it. Couple that with the customer service and price I opted for the PARD.

Thanks,
Rob
