Well, I can get Promite in the UK it turns out. On Amazon, obviously. Anyway, curiosity has got the better of me and I've ordered a jar. Can't see it being a regular thing though, it's a tad expensive.

I got it and I have to say it's very nice on toast. But at £7.50 I can't see me consuming great quantities of it. I guess it'll be a lot cheaper down under.

Is it better than Marmite? I do like my Marmite, but I think I like Promite as much. They are different tastes though. Both of them are better than Vegemite though. Obviously my opinion and others might differ.

Next week's food criticism will be about Marmalade and why anyone would buy any without peel in it...
