Wanted: Australia (WA) stalking recommendations

Contact "Jack Out the Back" and get yourself a sh*tload of camel shooting

Cheers

Bruce

Edit: I take that back, the shooting did get progressively more accurate as the video went on.

I suppose as a very invasive pest species, you must do what you must. Not sure I could wing them without immediately following up to put the beast down.

I've watched that guys content for a while now, maybe not ethical too us but its the same vain for feral hogs in America however one thing I will note about the chap Is he does return to each wounded animal after the initial grouping is shot down, I'm not sure if It was shown on that video but he usually does in others.

Something many wouldn't bother to do, especially after reading this thread and just imagining the cost of ammunition in WA Aus.

I know he was trying to acquire (I think) a semi-auto high powered calibre, I cant remember if he got it but the restrictions in WA was making it near impossible even for a guy doing a type of job like this.

The shooting is less than impressive, and not double tapping them is unacceptable. Cost of ammo doesn't come into it. .308 is not that expensive here anyway when bought in bulk (around £1.20/ea), and in his situation is a tax deductible expense. There are codes of practice for the humane destruction of ferals. A semi-auto is not going to improve his shooting.
Semi-auto does have its place in aerial shooting.

Because in the 6 weeks I was there in the classroom also in & out of dive shops most days that is what I saw, also asked if they had local staff and the answer was no.
The complete opposite to a 3rd world country with the Egyptian staff making up 95% of the workforce from the lads who filled the tanks to experienced Captains. ;) For me it was great as I learnt a great deal of Arabic in a short space of time.

What did you see? How do you identify these indigenous from the non-indigenous? You are aware that only 3% of Australians are of "indigenous"descent. The rest are a packet of licorice allsorts. A large number of indigenous owned businesses are staffed by non-indigenous.
Fun fact. There are more Indians in Australia than indigenous.

Ok all the dive staff crew captain owners were of white European form.
I saw no Aborianial staff captains owners crew in 4 dive centres 2 in Jervis bay 1 in Kempsey 1 in Cairns
In Egypt all the crew are Egyptians as the Captains and a good number of Guides are Egyptian
A lot of instructors will be European as it is say a German owned/rented centre catering for German guests then often the instructor will be German or speak that and English.
Same with the French Italians centres.
But what I saw was no Aboriginal "Indigenous" staff working in the dive centres in a First world country
Yes as an example in Egypt which is not on the first world country list is written above
You asked me what saw and that is it. :tiphat:

All of the below are Aboriginal. Are you sure you didn't see one of them in the dive shop?

No he didn't and they've banned the gun where you can click the bolt for the next shot.
I think the only thing they can have legally now is the pump action wedgetail.

What’s the hunting and legislation like in South Australia and New South Wales?

Quite enjoyed this visit but not sure I’d want to be in this side. Housing bloody expensive too.
I think the legislation is more favourable to firearms owners, although my experience is limited to WA. Anywhere is better than here!

Was reading recently that the police screwed up the original recent legislation and included classifications that weren't in the initial buyback, or what owners were told to begin with - hence a second buyback. The whole firearm authority limits/land is still vague with owners left in the dark. For example a quarter million acre station can have 15 authorisations, but folk are questioning whether that means 15 firearms, or multiple calibres per authorisation. It's a shambles and should be taken as warning for the UK now that SGCs might be going like FACs.

Housing is ridiculous, but it's partially constrained by geography - the Darling Scrap has prevented major building inland, so it's basically north or south. Building up north isn't favourable cause of the climate, with down south being preferred for living. That however attracts a price tag. The other factor is the mining industry has inflated everything in Perth.
