I know this is about crap stuff but try some of this Sariel, it works well for me:

Works out about £5 per meal but they do get hot and are tasty. For me the biggest advantage is how handy they are, I keep a few in the car and if I decide on a day on the hill I just throw one in the bag and I'm off. No running to the shops getting stuff for a lunch, making the lunch and so on. Not ideal if you want to travel really light but they work for me.
 
maddog growler jacket. One trip out in moderate rain and i was soaking all on my shoulders and arms. Utter cack IMHO. have since bought ridgline of newzealand camo jacket and pants, now these are supurb, never leaked or let me down even in heavy rain.
 
For me it's not so much what kit is crap rather it is what I bought that I never use. Hence my two items are both "quality products" but don't get out:
1. Butler Creek scope caps - too fiddly when stalking and an opportunity presents unexpectedly (also can cut your forehead if scope eye relief is wrong - not personal experience!) Now use neoprene cover when wet.
2. Harika roe sack - too big for the Southern, lowland stalking I do...just sits in the car (use roe strap made by a friend fromseatbelt material and nylon cord - fits in pocket taking no room).
 
Crap...Le Chameau Mouflon and Bestard boots, both a real let down

Quality... Musto Munroe tweed print jacket and trousers, Harkila Pro Hunter jacket and trousers. Keeps me dry as a dry thing on a dry day.

If you have ever hunted in NZ south island you will know why they are water proof, think of Scotland’s west coast but it rains a lot there.:shock:

Take it back. My prohunter jacket has had 2 seasons use/abuse on a North yorkshire moor and it's been superb in every way. One of my better kit purchases.
 
Sealand Wellies ( the wifes), first pair leaked after 5 days, shop replaced them, 3 weeks later cracks appereared, money refunded.
Lightforce lamp wiring.
Landrover service prices.
Avon skin so soft, doesnt repel !!!
Hart Boots, cracked after a coupe of months.
#11 1/2 dog whistle doesnt bring the dog back!!
 
The worst thing i ever bought was a pair of Le Chameau Mouflons, the first pair lasted 4 months the second, replacement, pair lasted 6 months. Both pairs cracked despite using recommended cleaning/feeding regieme.

It took me sooo long to get the replacement pair (4 months) that when the second pair gave up on me and I asked for a replacement pair or my money back, they refused as it was over 12 months from the original date of purchase :banghead:

I will never buy anything made by Le Chameau again, or anything new thats imported by GMK!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never had such poor customer service anywhere else, before or since!

Every time I post something like this I send a copy of the link via email to Le Chameau. I like to think I have cost them much more than the cost of the boots they wouldn't give me :D

Seems like there's a lot of over priced shite out there. But it seems that most of you don't know your rights. The guarantee is only what the retailer/ manufacturer gives you out of the goodness of their heart. This does NOT negate your rights under the Sale Of Goods Act (SGA) 1979 as Amended. Under the SGA you have rights for up to 6 years to have the goods repaired or replaced. Much will depend on the price you paid and your expectations. If you can prove that, bearing in mind the price paid, it was reasonable for you to expect them to last for longer then you should get refund, replacement or repair. However it may mean taking the retailer to the Small Claims Court. First step is the "Letter before Action" which says you are going to take them to court and lists your greviences and rights of action. In my experience (limited, as this is not my area of law) most do not want to go and will settle up fairly quickly. If you have to go to court then the judge will normally have sympathy with you - as they buy crap as well. You dont need a Lawyer and can deal with it yourself - and at the trial the judge will guide you through the process. And the risk isn't too great - mostly a small amount of costs to the other side if you loose - but even that is at the discretion of the Judge and he can award them nothing even if they win

Not as advertised the " No leaks in 8 years" Nomad Jackets, mine leaked like a sieve (shoulders & right down the arms) sent photos of leaking areas and never heard from them again.
