I took my Remington 11-87 semi auto out yesterday to control the squirrels that keep eating the feeders on the shoot. I have some old wildfowling cartridges in BB's that I use to shoot the dreys with. They are lead, mostly around an ounce and a half, and what else can you use them for ? Using the semi will take some of the "punch" out of them. So that was the plan, and what could possibly go wrong ? Well I will tell you, the forend cracked.
I have been on line and apparently it is a well known weak point with this model. Everyone knows not to do it, apart from me. Such a well known problem that it is very difficult to get another one. I will be busy with the super glue later today !
