No their eyesight is poor, but they certainly can shift.

With the ones I was watching at the sett I was sitting in the open perhaps 25 yards away, with my camera. They could tell there was something there, but they didn't seem suspicious and appeared to carry on as normal, both leaving and returning to the sett without any obvious concern.

The roe, fox and hare, on the other hand, soon had me figured out as a human, and scarpered if I made the slightest movement.

I do love the opportunity to get up close to different species and study their mannerisms.

Don't you believe it. They are very good at picking up movement esp if your skylined.

Still have poor eye sight especially compared to a fox.

Personally I like to see a badger running about now and again,But not around the cattle and calve sheds.When a badger could be responsible for taking a livelihood away for generations something has to be done.

And it can and will be done without all the fuss we are famiiliar with.
