Ball clamp What powder lube to use

Hi Guys
The ball on the tripod clamp is scratching a bit, does anyone know of a suitable powder or graphite powder that will smooth it back to a more fluid movement, I remember seeing some where not to use oil or lube, it is best with a powder compound

I’d suggest giving it a good clean with an aerosol solvent - get any dirt or grit out of it.

The idea of a ball CLAMP is in the name - to lock up when tightened, any lube will reduce its efficiency, even a dry lube.

Yep thats what my thoughts were to be honest, no way do I want it to run away with its self due to being over oiled up
