Good afternoon all. Could someone point in the right direction here please.

I've downloaded the Barnes data but they don't cover viht powders. I've managed to find some data on tsx 130 grain but not ttsx. I've not loaded for a few years so I want to start off on the right foot.

Many thanks

If you have tsx data use it, the tip is the tt in the name.
Agreed.

The Barnes data shows they use the same loads...but a different COAL...for TTSX as TSX.

The Vihtavuori 30-06 data lists 5 powders for the 130gr TSX and would be the best starting point...if you haven't already found that.

Thank you gents. I was aware of t meaning tipped but was checking they were the same data for loading. I've got the viht data as you've mentioned Alan so I will go with that. Thank you

I used N135 with 130 grn ttsx and just went with there COAL as stated 43.7 did it for me

The longer will be tge one with the plastic tip i suppose lol 😆. Seriously col is a poor measurement , if it fits tge mag and is not tight into tge rifling all is good
I didn't have any data for 260 with vhit and ttsx in 120 and 100 just the other week, I just made sure I was off the rifling and worked the load up

Yes, I presumed the two different COALs just replicated the actual seating depth.

I ended up seating 100 grain and 120 grain the same overall length , although I don't measure overall . In my 260 with hunting bullets I only want to be a reasonable clearance from the lands
Both shot well

RS52 works really well with 130 gr TTSX in my Sako 30.06 and is readily available they are a long bullet so don't worry about COAL, make them to fit in magazine, mine are 3.330 and produce some of the best groups I've ever had.

Very informative, thank you all.
I used to use hogdson years ago and then went on to viht n140 which I was very happy with. Haven't loaded in years so have no powders in stock. A good friend of mine has plenty of different powders that I can use to work up a load before I buy a tub. so it's good here which is worth using.
Thank you.

The data mostly shows the same powders you would choose for a lead bullet of tge same weight in the same case anyhow

Update. So I loaded up some tonight with n140 starting at 50g and going up 53g. (under max) will have a play during the week and see how they perform ,then play with seating depth.
