Barnes TTSX in 6.5 PRC

Evening folks,

Anyone been shooting the TTSX in the 6.5 PRC? 120 grain I was thinking 🤔

I have only had the rifle a fortnight, broken in with the 143 grain precision hunter ans took 3 beats with those last week. Performance was humane to say the least ...

But as I happily shoot copper in my other rifles makes sense to make the move with the PRC.

Pet load data welcome 🙏🏼

Cheers,

Al

Cant help much with the 120g or Barnes for that matter but I've managed to get the 130g cx going around 3200fps with rl25. Hornady website gives n560, n165 and RL powders for the 120g cx with some decent speeds.

Depends what you can get locally but id probably go viht 560 or 165

That's helpful, thanks

I've been running 120gn TTSX through my 6.5-284 for about 7 or 8 years. Can't help with load data for PRC but my '284 is pushing them at 3150fps with N165. Reliable performance and never had cause to mess around with the load. They just work.

I know it's not what you asked, but it's kinda similar... :)

I've shot Nosler 120gr E-Tip (factory) for some time out of PRC and they are very effective. I have some Barnes 120gr on standby, but have not yet developed the load. I will be looking at RS powders - probably 70 for that weight (used RS60 for 95gr and RS76 for the heavier part of the range)

Using 127g Barnes lrx and RL26 doing 3190. I'll be looking for a change of powder once im out of my last 3 lb of RL26.
I'm going to give the Hornady CX a go with Vhit as they're much easier to get hold of.
