But it is. Just adjust your sling to allow the rifle to be slightly more towards horizontal so that the mod is clear of the undergrowth.

Barrel down, if it goes off it wont be hard to find out where the round ended up! I'm not particularly tall though so I have bumped the mod off the ground once or twice (on my stalking rifle) when reaching for something like a gate latch, which is annoying. Resolved this by using my left hand if I need to reach down for something. Might buy a shorter mod in future . I also value the ability to tuck the gun behind me to be discreet if the ned arises.

Like others I have followed people who're carrying muzzle up and had a muzzle pointed at me whenever they hitch up the rifle to get it comfortable, not great.
