Has it been announced where it is going to be held in 2024?

Many thanksI think it’s permanently at Ragley now.

I only saw 1 stand selling factory ammo. Didn't see any reloading stuff of any kind. Was there much ammo for sale there
Fishing village? More like a hamlet, 10 or 12 tents. Very disappointing.Just got back. Took me longer to drive there and back than walk round. More food n drink than guns. Fishing village, not a shadow of its former self. Wont bother again. Its a shame, could be so good
Rumour is that its going to be Blenheim next year through some contractual wranglingI think it’s permanently at Ragley now.
I didn't see anyone selling ammo - but didn't expect to. There's more complication than value in it for exhibitors. Was there much ammo for sale there
I've been going since the '80s (!) and (except in the way things that looked huge when you were young look much smaller with the wisdom of age), I don't think it has ever been significantly bigger than it is now and certainly don't see a year-on-year shrinkage. The fishing side may have disappointed (I haven't fished for far too long, so I couldn't say), but there is a lot there for people who shoot.Fishing village? More like a hamlet, 10 or 12 tents. Very disappointing.
As stated above the show is getting smaller year by year. It was a pleasant day out on friday but I couldn't help comparing it to previous shows.
I found getting in yesterday just fine, but I was a little later today and think they'd just closed one of the entrances and we're routing people round to the next. It made a bit of a nonsense of the signage, and added another 10-15 minutes to the journey. Access and parking has definitely felt better managed in previous years.Just got back, i thought it was a decent show but seemed a tad smaller than usual, although i felt there was an increased food and drink contingent.
The roads and parking were dreadfully slow, we stayed at Warwick and from there to getting out of the car took almost two hours. I’m not sure how the parking worked, there wasn’t a one way system as we were directed out in the reverse direction of the road we entered on. There were still cars trying to enter the show against the flow of traffic trying to exit the show!
Add a seven hour round trip into the equation and I’m not sure I’d go again.![]()
I took a muntjac head but ended up taking it for a walk around as nobody did it no deer stuff at all reallyVery disapointed that no one was measuring deer heads, a friend took a head up for me to be measured but there was nothing on the site, apparently he was not the first to enquire, poor show by BASC.
That was my experience. The orgs and the names were just there to see each other - not the membership. The atmosphere wasn't welcoming, the staff looked either bored or ****ed off, and any questions that pertained to either shooting or conservation in Britain were treated as an annoyance. The BASC stand was, as usual, huge. Most folks wearing the uniform seemed to want to chat with each other and not to punters.
Totally agree , it's a day out to them to chat to friends , not interact with their members or the public. That was my experience. Well, I think your membership paid for it whether you made use of it or not. Stable Events did well out of that deal.Totally agree , it's a day out to them to chat to friends , not interact with their members or the public.
Although I did take full advantage of my ticket provided by basc
Sorry to hear that, but it is possible to see the list of exhibitors and to contact them with queries in advance.I took a muntjac head but ended up taking it for a walk around as nobody did it no deer stuff at all really
I went a couple of years ago and there was a stalking village bds was there ngo was thereSorry to hear that, but it is possible to see the list of exhibitors and to contact them with queries in advance.
Also, what is deer stuff. I saw rifles, moderators, optics, calls, clothing, knives, bags, vehicles, high seats, chillers, people offering guided stalks, providers of butchery courses, game dealers, and information on stalking from shooting organisations, plus police firearms licensing. What did miss? (I don't have a deer dog, but if I needed stuff for it, I suspect I would have found that too.)
