BASC raises serious concerns over misleading WWT film

@ Conor O'Gorman To get back to the nitty gritty couldn't BASC make a formal complaint to the charity commission? Sure;y charities are not allowed to tell lies in there output?

David.
All things have been considered. If BASC provides an update I will share it. Would rather not be drawn into speculation for the moment on next steps.

We’re just about the only group deliberately introducing lead into food where alternatives exist. Other foods are indeed contaminated, but no one else is doing it deliberately.

I'll be honest i just dont get why this is all so complicated.

If game dealers need non lead shot ducks or game in general all they have to do is state that to the estates.

If u want us to buy ur game u must use non toxic shot.
With threats of spot checks and potential fines or refusal to buy the game.
Shoots need to have recipts of the game being sold to keep up shoot accredation schemes.
That simple act would solve all this non compliance on commercial shoots.
While im not going to endorse law breaking/non compliance on diy/rough/farm shoots but all game will be used themselves so wont show up in game dealers/reports

Like i said the commercial shoot ( in scotland) i pick up for switched to non toxic just like that at game dealers request.
It has always supplied the shells fir the guns, now there steel as standard or bring ur own non lead if u dont want steel.
I will say the wounding rate is shocking now.
How anyone thinks steel is a decent alternative.
( i know folk who shoot very very well with steel, esp homeloaded shells.
But average to poor shots its a lot worse than lead for woundys)

Mibbee game dealers could actually start paying shoots for there produce and that would help subsidise the shoots providing non toxic shot.
Esp if all these new markets are going to suddenly open up ( which i think is BS anyway)
I notice game dealers still charge the same for oven ready as they did years ago when they did actually pay decent money for game.
I can mind early aug grouse were 14 quid a brace game dealer was paying 10 or 15 yrs ago.
Now its just a few quid i think

As soon as the statement said "This video is just one part of part of our bold, brave multi-decade ..." they managed to convert a statement into a woke joke.

Since when was posting a video "bold" and "brave", unless it was to highlight something the authorities were trying to hide by threats and false imprisonment, such as a video exposing the Pakistani paedo gangs?

For example, if a person in the UK posted the following factual information 25 years ago, that would be bold and brave, but the WWF doing an embarrassing factually false video, no: Drugged, gang-raped, burned alive: 5 cases reveal horror of UK grooming gangs . The article in that link was published in India, because the culprits were Pakistani, not Indian, hence no love lost between them there, so publishing it in India, is neither brave nor bold though it was good on that news outlet to do it as the British media were too watery to say anything.

Here is the paper version of the Telegraph article with quotes from BASC. The online version is behind a paywall.
