[h=2][/h]Calton Moor Range Day

Another opportunity has been arranged for a range day and a social BBQ at Calton Moor Range, Calton Moor Farm, Swinscoe, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE6 2BU Calton Moor Range | Shooting Range on the 7th October 2018.

The layout for the day should be as follows -

0900 meet at Calton Moor
0915 Tunnel range for zeroing
1200 BBQ
1330 outside range on fox/deer/rabbit silhouette targets at ranges out to 300m
1630 finish

Previous years at Calton Moor have proved very popular, so if you’re interested book early to avoid dissapointment !

Mike and Jan at Calton Moor have kept the price the same for the last few years at a very competitive £35 for the day.

Please contact me on this email ianpratt10@btinternet.com to book a place/places - once I’ve heard from you I’ll email you back with payment details. Note that once a place is booked, we cannot give any refund if you decide to pull out.

Because this is a day run by Calton Moor and assisted by the East Mercia BDS, we can allow non BDS members to attend at the same cost, but should there be a rush of bookings, priority will be given to East Mercia BDS members.
Please remember to bring your FAC with you along with BDS membership card (if applicable)

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Ian Pratt - East Mercia Branch BDS Secretary

Can't make it this year. Hope it's less less windy than last year for those longer range shots!! Have a good time.

Sorry Michael, can’t make this one .. travelling back from Scotland on Sunday (Stags y’know :thumb:) & will be home just in time to make some of Dee’s birthday!
I’m sure it’ll be good fun.

If I didn’t need to be back here in suffolkshire by 5pm I’d have definitely signed up for this.

I will be in Scotland on the 7th otherwise I would definitely be there, I'm sure all attending will have a great day,,,enjoy.

Gentlemen,

anyone attending this event please take it upon yourselves to tip the young lad (14 years old) who will be present on the farm where the gong shoot is taking place.

Mike Dickinson dropped this event on the farmer on Friday. He is away and his young son is having to move pregnant cattle. Mike is also not paying the farmer for use of the ground.

Another great day at Calton Moor on Saturday. Well supported, enough rifles to make it interesting. Most people's zero was spot on so after lunch we were out on 200/300/400 yard gongs.
Great fun, most of us were amazed at how accurate our rifles were in these long range scenarios.
Thanks to Mike and Jan for another great day with a lovely BBQ.
If you weren't there you missed a good day, but don't worry - we will be doing it again next year !
