BDS SE Scotland branch clay pigeon shoot 14 June 2022

Lammerlaw Gun Club have kindly agreed to host the SE Scotland Branch clay pigeon shoot again this year on the evening of Tuesday 14 June at Macmerry.

Shooting will commence at 6:30pm.

This is a 30 bird shoot over 3 stands of sporting clays. Cartridges will be supplied.

Entry is £30 cash on arrival.

Directions –

Coming from Edinburgh on the A1, take the B6363 exit towards Pencaitland/Longniddry/Gladsmuir/Macmerry/A199

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Coal Rd/B6363

Then proceed about 300 yards north and It’s a sharp left through the farm gate just after where the go-karting centre was.

If you get to Hoprig Mains Farm another 200 yards along the road; you have gone too far!

Prizes - Ed Bewsher of Edinburgh Rifles and Sporting Goods has kindly presented a prize for the high gun.

Ed's prize is - One day hind stalking (sika) to be arranged between Oct 22 - Jan 23.
Location - Tweedsmuir, Scottish Borders.
Accompanied - Carcass available at dealer rates.

Results -

The overall winner of a day’s sika hind stalking, kindly donated by, Ed Bewsher of Edinburgh Rifles and Sporting Goods was Iain Semple from Central Scotland branch.

In second place was Paul Crosbie with Nick Morrall in third place.

Iain Semple also won the pool trap following an exciting shoot off with Ed Bewsher.

Lammerlaw Gun Club must be thanked for their excellent hospitality as well as for running a very efficient and challenging shoot.

All being well, the intention is to hold this shoot again on the evening of Tuesday 6 June 2023. This date has already been booked with Lammerlaw Gun Club.
