Benelli Lupo

Hi Guys

Just wondered whether anyone has any experience of these? Thinking of adding a .270 to the cabinet.

I like the adjustability and the fact it’s a little different, without breaking the baNo.

Thoughts appreciated

If only Mr Plod would get his finger out on my variation, pending since October, I might have been able to answer you, as I’ve had a deposit down on one since then.
All I can say is that I have yet to see a bad review on it, and many glowing. A few people don’t care for it’s looks, but I do. And the most important thing to me is accuracy. The unit I have reserved carries a makers test ticket showing a 0.3 MOA group which should do for me.
I do note that a new version has just been announced, most notably wood stocked, if that’s to your taste. Not sure if there are any other changes.

More research now shows me Benelli now producing, for the US market at least, certain Lupo calibres in walnut stocks which I think look rather good. 145A2D1A-D53D-415E-AE9D-82A271AE69F8.webp
Also some in camo pattern, with their vaunted hard wearing treated metalwork finished in a greenish or beige colour. Somewhat less to my taste, but each to their own.

Well, to resurrect this thread, PC Plod finally woke up, my ticket came back, and I now have my Lupo in .308.
Circumstances and foul windy weather have limited me to putting just a few target rounds through, not even enough to properly zero it, so I can’t yet vouch for it’s certificated 0.33 moa accuracy, but it’s looking very promising.
But my first reaction is that wow, that vaunted recoil reduction system REALLY does work. The action is Tikka smooth, the trigger like glass and with a Stalon X149 mod on it, it’s just a joy to shoot.
I really don’t understand the vehement hatred expressed by some towards its looks, but each to their own. It’s certainly a little unconventional in its construction and styling, but not wildly so. Technology moves on, or we’d all be driving cars with the look and performance of a Morris Oxford.
I chose a gun for its ability to reliably take down its intended target as humanely and accurately as possible, not it’s looks or perverse nostalgia. It’s a tool. And as with all my tools, I buy the best I can so if the job goes wrong I know it’s me at fault, and can’t blame the tool.. And the Lupo is looking to be a very good tool.
But as an aside, I actually quite like the look. I certainly prefer it to abominations like this (a random image plucked off Google just now, no idea what it is), which seem to pass without comment.
If anyone is interested I’ll post further accuracy results as and when I can do so.

I like it . I own a lot of , what some would call , traditional rifles , but I don't turn my nose up at something just because it's new . Congrats , very cool . Let us know how it shoots .

@efp glad you like it! Would be interested to see some targets when you get the chance!
Just found this, I can’t see targets attached so here are a few groups. This is one hell of a rifle in .243, I hope it’s as good in .270 as it will arrive this week…
So, I bought two and I reload so I’ve had phenomenal results. The groups here are factory rounds.
Hmm. Can’t get images to attach. Any tips on how please?
