on the stainless front i would rather go down the Cerakote route as that will last so much longer than stainless. and for around £100 for full barrel / action spray would probably come in cheaper than a stainless option if it existed and would look the same if it was the matt stainless option.

Why would Cerakote last longer than stainless?

I thought stainless barrels lasted longer than cr-mo steel before being shot out.
 
I got the opinion from a video i watched of a corrosion test on multiple finishings including stainless.

find below, hence why I'm thinking of coating in Cerakote. I know its a Salt water test, but seeing as thats the worst type of corrosion.. I recon its pretty good going.

Wow that certainly is pretty impressive. Turns my preconceptions on their heads, anyway.

Returning to the Bergara, are the action lengths varied according to cartridge, or is it a tikka-style one size fits all?
