Best 260 load

What’s the best load for 260 rifle for deer and fox out to approximately 250 yards for fox and 100 yards for deer I will be home loading any help would be appreciated Thanks

The best will be the most accurate one mate.

Have a look on Youtube , Panhandle Precision is a big fan of the 260 .

Varmint bullets 100 - 120, I use 140 ttsx for Deer.
Really anything bullet wise that shoots well. Try a selection and see what shoots the best.

Sierra 130gr Tipped Game King have shot brilliantly out of both my .260’s both powered by around 43gr Viht N160. Very accurate. I’ve shot Fallow, Roe and Muntjac with them and all dropped on the spot.

I’m just about to start loading the Yew Tree 102.4 Super X with N150, should be fast!

I have used 120gn pro hunter N160 and more recently yewtree 112gn and N160 - all very accurate and effective on deer.

How did you go on with the Yew Tree Super X?

I’ve been sidetracked! Brass is prepped but I’ve been messing about with other calibres. I’ve actually just reconfigured the rifle today (stock, scope and plan to use with no muzzle device), so will get out soon.
