Best binos sub £300

You'd be 10% of the way into the saving up and have better glass with the Zeiss Jena at around £100-£150 down.

Compare them - and you'll 'see'!

Steiner are fantastic quality, if you can find a pair of skyhawk or ranger 8x42’s - I replaced my steiners with Swarovski EL’s and it’s really was hard to tell until last light or when trying to look at very small detailed objects.

The Steiner are renowned for being excellent value for money.

EDIT - here is a brand new set -https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283573211335

And if you are up near the NE of Scotland you are welcome to have a look through mine to compare them.

Regards,
Gixer
