Meindl Douvre or Blackislander you won't go wrong with either . The Meindl's sole is a bit harder and can be slippy on rocky surfaces but still my preferred choice.

Just bought a pair of Jack Pike Tundra boots £70 very comfy, light and very waterproof wore them 3 days in continuous rain in Scotland 10 out of 10.
Tusker

Altberg Highlander GK. They are a lot lighter than they look and have kept me dry and warm on over 50 days stood in river meadows so far this season whilst picking up. Very comfy but reccomend changing the insoles for the aftermarket ones that Altberg sell.

Any of the Alltberg, Meindle or Blackislander boots will do you well.

My grandfather always said that a good pair of boots will cost a working mans , weeks wages!

My Le Chameau Mouflon plusses have been incredibly comfortable and supportive. They have just starting to leak when they have been under 6" or 8" water crossing streams. This is halfway through their 5th season. I wear them two or three days a week beating in the partridge/pheasant season and for hill walking and stalking through the year.

I have bought some Sealskin socks to extend the waterproofing and will buy new boots for next year, possibly Meindl or Altberg if I can find somewhere to try them on. If not I will buy another pair of Le Chameau on line.

I am normally an 11 but needed a 12 in the Le Chameau, I gather the Meindl Dovre are broad fitting.
