Can anyone tell me where to source a Sunny Hill bottom metal for a post 64 Winchester 70 in the UK? And any ither options/sources. Intention is for it to be a classic rifle build and so will eventually be blued.

I got a dbm bottom metal for standard Aics / magpul mags via JR Firearms who managed to order it from Pacific Gauge and Tool.
The cost was c $120 and it took a bit of fettling to get it fitted.
One point to note- the aics metal mag wouldn’t fit without having a chunk of the leading 2 corners cut back as the mag well wouldn’t allow the mag to engage without reshaping it.
I could have had the mag well / bottom of the breech machined out but I would have needed to have the rifle reproofed.

However, if you buy magpul mags then with a bit of fine sandpaper you can remove enough of the plastic to make the mag fit the well and allow rounds to feed.

Probably best to speak with Sunny Hill directly and see if they have any representative in the UK, or prepared to send it across. Or try somebody like Pacific Tool and Guage.

they have lots of details about export on their website.

Or if you are any good with CAD - draw up the parts abd send it away to steel CNC shop to run it out. Alternatively do it the old fashioned way and start with solid and rough it out and then machine/ grind / file to to shape.

Or totally forget bottom metal and make a blind internal magazine.

If that is a PTG unit then JR Firearms imported mine for me via an importer with the necessary ITAR credentials.

Another shout out for JR Firearms. Just up the road from me and always goes the extra mile.
Im guessing you've looked on Brownells UK ?

Its all about the challenges of Importing to the UK in the Spring of 2026. No RFD will have one of these sitting on a shelf for immediate dispatch or deployment in a rifle build.
