What make/type of gloves are you using and where 2 buy, my supply of individually wrapped ones has gone and i need to buy some. Dont want the type that split easily..
cheers

I go to a chemist shop and buy a box of gloves used in doctor etc then put two or three pairs in a bag in my pocket.
ok if you are rough with them they split but once I got used to wearing them I have few problems .
not that long ago any gralloch was done with bare hands :old: you may be too young to remember;)

I use semper guard nitrile powder free xpert gloves. They stand up to life around the farm. Probably if you google the name to find a supplier in your area. Think we get them from a company called abby dale.

You shouldn't wear dark colours, you cannot see contamination.
It's a good point, the mil-spec gloves are quite a light green and contamination would show up. They are very strong.

You don't buy them from Red Dot do you?
No, from Bound Tree (as above). Does Red Dot sell them more cheaply?
I'm not too fussed about the cost (£10?), it is the quality that counts. Have you tried them?
Am not a pro-stlaker so getting through 50 a year would be a bonus. Would rather have a box of 50 I can rely on than 100 I cannot.

Fair enough, I suppose its the age old argument that you can pay as little or as much as you want for an item I just didn't realise that this included disposable gloves!

I haven't tried them but then I've never had reason to look any further than the blue or purple nitrile ones as these very rarely let me down under normal conditions. I accept that mine aren't green but by the time I'm gralloching it's a bit too late for the deer to worry about seeing me!

If they were blue I'd still buy them; the colour is incidental, not being bought for any 'tactical reason' (which I think you may have got a little hung up on).
Had found the blue gloves I'd tried unreliable and prone to split at the cuff and first finger, so went back to what I know; they work for me.
At £10 for 50 that's 20p a pair, hardly going to break the bank.
So have you tried them? And does Red Dot sell them?
