Best IR torch for the new Hikmicro Alpex 4K

Not the same conditions (it was pitch black when we were shooting) but this shows you what an Alpex will do.

In the video he uses a LL Wraith. The Blade is far better. We could clearly see the frame holding the gongs.

I've got no skin in the game so believe me or don't, but the Blade is good enough.

Did you have the Blade and Wraith together for comparison or just judging from that video?

To be fair, we didn't have them side by side, so maybe not just for me to pass judgement on the LL IR, but you can see in his vid there is a lot of ambient light which doesn't give a true idea of what the IR is doing.

When we were shooting, there was no ambient light. I remember looking through it and being astonished that I could actually make out the gong and frame with the Blade.

I guessed you didn’t, theres some of us that have and the Wraith ESL is brighter and cleaner than the Blade through the Alpex.
Just to clarify its the Wraith ESL (Extra Small Laser)

Thats what I've been using now on alpex 4k, pard ds35 70, pard 007 & even experiment on zulusl mk1 - the blade fantastic with all of them imo.

I have been using a Dark Engine Max 940 since they came out and I cannot fault it, apart from it may not be the lightest on the current market.

I've got a PBIR and Sirrius Reach which are both great.

Just wondering if I should get one for my Alpex 4k?

What distance have you tried it at and did you buy the mount ?

I really don't rate Sniperhog lights
They're big and heavy, still use LEDs instead of vcsels and use a lens system that even DIY NV builders gave up on 7 or 8 years ago
They are the dinosaurs of IR illuminators
