Best Roa call for novice caller

Looking for Roe calling advice. What’s the best caller if you’re starting trying to call in Roa bucks?
I’v had some success with a Buttolo but haven’t really engaged with it much as mostly just been culling though the winters to protect our trees.

Buttolo is fine. I wouldn't worry about using a caller unless you can actually see a buck, or have seen one, and the rut is on.

Keeping quiet and observing is way more effective IMO.

If you're just starting then the Buttolo should be fine.

Over the years I've accumulated and used a variety of roe calls, including the Buttolo, a Hubertus cherrywood call, the traditional folded beech leaf and - when necessity has required it - even a blade of grass.

If the buck is in the mood for love then he will come to the call!
