Best scope for use with NV add ons.

Hi,

I'm looking for a scope that I can use as a day scope and clip on a NV unit. The ones I've seen people suggest are the Delta Titanium HD 2.5-15x56 and the Leica amplus 6.

Is anyone in a position to tell me how these 2 would compare? The Delta is a bit cheaper but I had a job tracking down the manufacturers website (polish company it seems) and maybe not as established as Leica.

Thanks,
Tom

Ps. Or if anyone has other suggestions I should consider.

I have 3 Delta scopes and have been very impressed with their quality and performance as daytime scopes.

I've used two of them with a rear add on and have been equally as impressed.

If you're going to use NV with them then I wouldn't bother spending the extra on the Leica which may get you a couple of minutes extra shooting light becaus eyoud just stick on the NV anyway.

Good to know thanks!

If you're speaking about using a front NV add-on then pretty much any scope with a base magnification of x3 or less should be OK
Since the add-on is going in front of the scope. objective lens size, focus/parallax adjust/ lens coatings etc don't come into play
Having said all that it will still be a PITA and you'll probably not keep it for very long :)

Cheers

Ah no I was meaning a rear add-on like pard.

Hawke Vantage 3-9×50 front Ao is my go to used on a pard 007 and now a Sytong 66 .
Came with mounts for under £65 .
Works mighty fine imho.
For some reason the better the glass/ coating ( more expensive) the worse image problems.

I’ve had a Sightron which was good but changed it out for the delta. I prefer the non tactical style covered turrets on the delta as I very rarely dial in. Delta is superb & I’d happily buy another if I needed it.

I can’t see any difference optically between the delta & S&B on my 308.

I would say that the pard does work well on a hawke too.

I've tried a pard 007 and ludicrous lumens on my S&B PM2 absolutely rubbish tried them on my MTC and hawk scopes absolutely spot on miles better the vulpine was tidy on my mates nightforce NX8 4-32X50

I will just say that the Vulpine Mk3 mounted on an Element Optics Titan is absolutely superb. The Titan is also superb as a day scope.

I have used pard 007 with Hawk on my Rimmy, Leopold on air rifle and Delta Titanium, Zeiss V4, Meopta Optima 6 and currently Leica Amplus on other rifles and by far the best was the Delta Titanium. I sold it along with a 243 and still wish I had kept it.
