Gerber multiplier with blade. Compact, very fast deployment, but very tough.

I use a leatherman surge at work, dont think you can beat the leatherman for quality. 25year warranty on them too.
I had a Gerber Truss for a very short period, the pliers broke. Total garbage

I have an original Schrade multitool leather cased that I found in a US pawnshop which did win many design awards back in the day, I also have a new bought from Cabelas Leatherman bought around 2005ish both still perfect but I am not a hard user.

To be honest, I was bought a Leatherman Charge as a present a few years back and always have it kicking about when out stalking or when out fishing. If I lost it and had to replace it, I would still go with a Leatherman. Yes, they're expensive, but I expect things like this to last a good few years......Comes with a nice leather pouch and a nice tin to keep all sorts of vital rubbish in!

I had 2 SOG break on me, carried daily and used but not abused.
Buy once cry once Leatherman.
You'll only ever find someone with the nickname Leatherman, not any of the others.

Use my leatherman wave almost everyday, first class quality and haven't found a problem apart from the tiny screwdriver which I broke ( my fault I have to admit), my tip to you is find someone going to the States on holiday, they're about 50
% cheaper than here
