Bino Harness

Morning all,

I have been gling down a rabbit hole whilsg looking for a good bino harness whilst still not breaking the bank.
It will be for my 8 x 42 binos so medium size qould work.
I would preferably like some molle attachments for my thermal to attach (i have a qd camera mount for it).
Any ideas wiuld be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a "Vortex GlassPa Pro" and really like it, haven't had a bino harness before so nothing to compare it to however I have found it really comfortable and it comes with a pouch right 'out the box' - I also didn't want to spend £200 odd so this one ticket all my boxes at around £120 with life time warranty - could be worth a look:)

(Ps I use mine for the habrok 4ks if relevant)

A Recent members to this clan, I was using a kuiu pro bino harness with pouch last week in the snow/ ice.

What I would say, is the pouch gives extra protection, something I was after, to protect your expensive optics. However, when crawling can sometimes get in the way. this can sometimes be made easier, depending on positioning, i.e. strapped up closer to the neck easier to crawl with, but harder to get binos out.

Alternative you can dispense with a pouch and just go for a chest harness, which is perhaps less cumbersome, but offers less production. Depends what you want.

Kuiu are not cheap, but getting them in one of 2 big annual sales might make them more competitive. Zeiss 8x42 fit snugly in their large size (xl being the only other size they offer)

Marsupial - best design out there.

I like the look of this. Although I have got the Harkila one. Good but a little boxy. The Monarch one is cost effective but doesn't protect the binos but spreads the weight well. Can't moan for the money!

They do a bino jacket as well.

I've tried a few and settled on Alaska Guide Creations, give Malmo Guns a call as they are selling them off. If you let them know your binos dimensions they will let you know if they have the right model

they dont really have a distributer here, but FHF gear make really good ones. Ive actually been gifted one of there harnesses that I dont use. Ill post a link to it. What brand and model binos do you have? Ive got the size small in ranger green, so you would need to check if they fit. Alternatively, all of the recommendations above are absolutely spot on as well.

Have had a vortex one and although fine for woodland stalking they are a pain in the chest (literally) if you are doing any crawling in to beasts.

It was like trying to crawl with half a turnip attached to your front, they catch on heather and other obstacles and just wait till you try and reverse backwards or sideways !!!!!!!! they end up about your chin or face.
Not for me I'm afraid.

I turfed it on to the back seat of the pickup where it has remained since July.

Cheers

I found that the Vortex GlassPacks are OK to start with, came with my Fury HD binos, but the lower strap attachment points on both sides gave way after a year of (ab)use, although I stitched them back a few times. I got the AGC Rebus HERE from Malmo Guns at the shooting show in Harrogate for a little over £100 about 18 months ago. it carries binos, thermal mono, backup folder knife, spectacles case, gralloch kit, small bottle sanitiser, and spare batteries for binos, thermal (x2) and head torch (x3 AAA). It's got a great harness on it and rides high and secure, it's seen some sh1tty weather and use and has come through well, I can recommend it.

They have sild out unfortunately 😥

For a different view from the usual vortex/harkila/kuiu I opted for a Red kettle M19 Bino harness alongside one of their utility pouches for gloves, TQ, little bits n bobs as well as a holster for my Spartan bipod. Think I paid circa £110 for all three on a deal: Bags & accessories

Just if you want something different. It's built tough and I find it a brilliant bit of kit, far better built than the flimsy vortex bino harness I used to have :)

Thanks, looks good but i would prefer all round cover for my binos.
