I have a rifle with problems with the bedding in the stock that I would like to get fixed.
I am going to Bisley on Saturday, and wondered if anyone could recommend any of the shops/gunsmiths there?
Thanks
Norman Clark - he will be shooting the English VIII meeting on Stickledown this weekend. you can reach him at Norman Clark Gunsmiths ; He is very good and looks after the rifles of a lot of the GB target rifle team. He really knows his onions, and bedding is, no pun intended, his bed and butter. He is often at Bisley, so getting it back from him won't be a problem. NB he looks after target and sporting rifles.
Although they will and theres no doubt they can fix you bedding there are lots around closer to you i'd bet cheaper and better . Bisley shooters are cows in a feild that get milked for every drop of coin even to walk the hallowed grounds of English shooting ! just a brew will cost more than a few quid . Guys who have work done feel the smith on there are demigods and its aways best to bet stuff done all be it at a over inflated rate at a shooting centre ? ( NOT )
