blaser r8 ultimate silence

Hi everyone, I’m off to look at A blaser r8 ultimate silence on Tuesday can I ask if anyone has any real world experience with one of these please? This will be my first Blaser and wasn’t what I was looking for but came up while I was looking for A R8 and is not to far from me so just after any advice people have please.

I would only have it as my main stalking rifle and I have no plans to change the calibre at the moment but I suppose that is something to consider as my other main rifle is a 22-250 and as far as I can tell they don’t do this model in that calibre so that wouldn’t be a option later on

I have an Ultimate Carbon with the adjustable cheekpiece and recoil pad. It shoots as well as my custom BAT rifle but you can adjust it for any shooting position and easily take it apart for cleaning and then put it together without any POI shift. Very good rifle in the winter time aswell, works in cold temps, -40...good rifle.

Yes I had one in 308 ,original integrated silencer was replaced by Blaser under warranty as there was some problems with corrosion on the original ones ,overall it was ideal and not overly long as some rifles can be with a traditional moderator on the end of the barrel,mine was complemented with a DS scope and performed well.

Nothing you just bolt it in the stock as normal there is just a little more clearance around the barrel.

It’s a great rifle and balances perfectly with a scope on, far better than any other blaser rifle as the mod is titanium so no weight hanging either end of centre of gravity.

Mates got one in 308 cracking rifle and handles really well.
