When I used to do a lot of rabbiting.I used a Ruger 10/22 in a old landrover with a rag top, you could drop the windscreen on the bonnet and shoot from the passener seat.

Many times whoever was driving had a redhot little case down there shirt.

Caused a bit of erratic driving.

are you sure it was rabbiting and not some more "canine" nocturnal activity?
