Blaser sticks

What are peoples views on the new Blaser sticks? Read and saw comments that the front part is not stable enough and the rifle could jump when the shot is taken

I love mine, admittedly,I had a set of B and Q specials prior. I use them at least once a week and in between they are loose in the back of the pickup. I confess that I have used them to carry deer out on occasion.

I really like the ability to track horizontally and haven't suffered with the rifle jumping excessively, it's normally a 30-06 so has the potential to jump. I drape the sling in front of the hand grip and hold it, works pretty well.

I think you can get spare yokes for the front but if you broke the hand grip I expect that would be a problem.

I should probably collapse them and put them in their bag for transport, if I used them less often I would.

Good feedback thanks, the viper flex do seem more robust, but does feel a tad heavier?

I've got the Mk1 version of the Blaser quads, they're fine, no experience of the viper flex so wouldn't be able to claim that one is better than the other, but a huge improvement on X sticks regardless.

Can't fault my Blaser sticks. They live in the car - throughout the summer heat - no drying of rubber. Driven over them twice - lost them and immediately purchased a second pair - then found the first pair but - the fact that I immediately bought a second pair tells you something.

Cant fault mine, used constantly. Carried deer out on them, gralloched off them. Rifles will always jump on sticks, all about managing recoil accordingly 👍

Didn't like them. Too many moving bits. Sold them on and upgraded to carbon viperflex. Brillant kit

Same - also believe they have a design floor with the legs being clipped into the handle - all over the place if you don’t clip them in.

Wanted to like them as smaller and lighter than Vipers with the additional front pan, but the two handed operation to open and with no flick to bipod for a quick shot like the Vipers was a major drawback.

With a pal either end, I’ve dragged 50kg fallow up a hill using Vipers - wouldn’t consider that with Blasers.

I swapped from viperflex to blaser & couldn't be happier
Rifle so much steadier when using 5th leg so free to scan without fear of rifle falling.

Leg adjustment better on the blaser & no whistling like the viperflex

The mk2 is an improvement on the mk1 with the leg locking system not slipping ,i
really appreciate mine and in fact have my mk1 as backup and carry a spare front rest in the car .

For me there is nothing else that comes close for effectiveness as I have a damaged arm so the movement they give is second to none.
They aren’t as tough as some others but are very capable of doing the job they are supposed to do.

Not tough enough. The plastic handles can snap off if say you fall on them. At that point it’s game over. The cheaper aluminium legged ones wobble at the joints in the legs like rolf Harris’s wobble board.

Just get Viperflex carbon or aluminium is my advice.
