boar rig driven or not

I had success with the .45-70 on boar from a singleshot, but it was a stillhunt not a drive. The marlin levers would be great a for drive I imagine. They are accurate, quick handling, and hard hitting. A 9.3x74 double on a European boar drive would be a dream scenario for me though.

308 & 180 gr , stops them 'dead'. But i only done 60-100kg max boar (18-24mth old approx) I guess .

I’ve had allsorts of rifles over the years but settled ona Guerini 9.3x74r with a Doctor reflex dot - looks & performs the part andnot out of place alongside rifles worth five time the money. A real touch ofclass!

Underlevers and high capacity rifles work fine for some but for me it would beakin to taking a mosberg pump action on grouse shoot - just not British!

That must be why you see so many sa Benellis on the keepers day on the grouse moors!!

my fab arm looks the same but as theres no bolt action they are longer then they look
but bang alot as they are near your ears.
my new rig up now for moose, back to opens for close boar.

Hi 8 x 57. I have a Merkel 8 x 60 SxS. I have had some claw mounts made and it now sports a 4 x 32 Swarovski. Not used it on driven anything yet. (Chance would be a fine thing!) What magnification do you have your Meopta set on when on a Boar drive?

I have only shot a couple of boar and each one was taken at aproximately 25 yards at most. When I shot with the scoped rifle the scope was wound down to about 1.5 magnification.
