SBR slurry was a basic for concrete repair. Would I use it for sticking down composite decking to concrete? No. Plenty of modern mastic and adhesives on the market. I stuck bathroom tiles and a wash basin to a ply wall, Sika 11FC . The wash basin was self supporting. Not a tile or the wash basin ever came loose. Composit decking to concrete should be no problem.
there is a resin floor compound, i would say key up the decking with lots of X'S with the grinder and swim it in or spend the cash on no more nails or fibre glass resin as that ****er sticks to everything lol
Agree with fibre glass resin, the misses built a wee wall using slate and glued slates together with fibre glass resin worked a treat.
They also bond "squints" with a 2pack resin, the car world would be broken without body filler plastic to steel.
I'm just about to order a 20mm plug cutter to permit concealed use of 8mm raw bolts.
You won't go far wrong with a Sika product. Back in another life when I was in the concrete repair game I was a Sika products approved applicator. Have been up to Sika HQ on courses many times.
Chemical fixings work really well on balcony edges where a mechanical fixing can burst the stone or concrete if to much enthusiasm is use when tightening. I once reinforced a balcony with fixings that were a meter and a half long pressure grouted into place.
Indeed, thousands upon thousands of yards of railing and other metal objects have been fixed into stone with lead in bygone days.
I managed to get a good deal on a box of 12 Sika EBT's that tick all boxes. But thanks for the heads up.
