Following on from the article in Shooting Times yesterday, I feel that it might be generate some interest to repost the sale with enhanced offering and reduced price
As part of the "wind down" of my stalking kit, I wish to sell my 'Ronin' built custom 7x57 rifle
The spec is as follows:
Bespoke CM Borden Timberline action, CM fluted bolt.
LW CM Barrel 8.5 twist 22" Medium sporter profile threaded for moderator.
Hand built Rigby Pattern stock - exhibition quality walnut with ebony end cap, and red recoil pad, built and fitted by Gary Cane.
Talley - 30mm custom scope rings
Bottom metal , engraved with serial number , calibre, and facsimile Sika Head , gold inlay.
I also offer Redding 7x57 reloading dies, and a quantity of new Norma brass if that is of interest.
1 x Country Covers long green scoped rifle slip, little used.
Atec moderator again little used as I have tended to use the rifle unmoderated.
Needless to say given the expertise of the builders, the rifle is very accurate using either traditional lead core or monolithic copper solids.
I attach a few photos and would take more detailed photos for anyone that has a positive interest in the rifle.
Scope is Swarovski 4-12i
I should add that the scope shown in the photos is NOW included in the sale.
Price is £4000 OVNO for the complete package.
Please PM if interested and thanks for looking.

Perhaps the finest rifle I’ve had a hand in building

Very best of luck with the sale - it was a pleasure

Truly a one off build

There are no other Borden Timberline Chromoly Actions I am aware of in existence, had to ask very nicely to get that built.

For interest, this is almost the end result of load development with Fox Classic 145Gn copper solids last year. the 1st shot was too far right, 2 clicks left and then 3 rounds as shown. The velocity measured was mean 2825 fps , spread of 15 fps. The Fallow did not enjoy it at all. OK - Its not Bisley sort of stuff but for a hunting rifle I was v happy with that result.

I seldom shoot beyond 100 yards at Bisley so DON'T beat yourself up about that.

Good luck with sale.
