Hi guys I have a Boyd's thumbhole laminate stock for a SA Remington 700, comes complete with a magazine conversion, came of a 22-250 so I presume the mag will be suitable for .243 and .308

This also has an adjustable stock for LOP which has been very well done.

Will get some nicer pics when home but heres some to start off

Will my AI mags fit it? Looks like the release catch is at the front, not the back.

Thanks Lone Wolf, I took my time with the stock and pillar/skim bedded it, plus a bit of re-profiling to get a nice feel for it in my hands. Oil finished it.
It looks good and shoots well.
Thanks for that... Cheers.

Hi Hsf;
It does look good. Did you reproduce the pistol grip somewhat?
Is your scope so high by design for correct cheek weld?
Thanks, Ken.

The mounts gave a decent weld on the old stock and are good on this one too. I tagged a bit on the pistol grip as it felt my hand was slipping off.
I used JB Weld for the bedding and some 0.5" OD aluminium tube for the pillars.
I think it shot about 0.75" group at 125yds off the bonnet with a couple touching, so I've left it alone and used it. Had a couple of foxes last night and it's comforable to handle.

Nicely done bedding job and just over half min of angle off a bonnet is good.
Thanks much for the pictures.
Ken.
