Brass goblin problems: How do you store it all??

I've reached a point where I'm sat on an embarrassingly large pile of brass across every cartridge I own rifles for (and a couple I don't) - how are people storing it? A filing cabinet drawer full of snappy bags and assorted organiser cups with brass in varying states simply isn't going to cut the mustard

Ideas I've had:
  • Ammo tins. Don't stack well, too big for some lots, probably not big enough for others. Can be a faff to open, and quite noisy. However, stereotypical and commonly available.
  • Christmas chocolate boxes (Roses etc, but probably roses). Kids will constantly be asking for chocolates, seasonal availability, they'll probably get smaller each year. But they stack, they're cheap, and woohoo, chocolate!
  • Faaasands of MTM/Dillon ammo boxes. Just far too expensive and I'm not individually putting each piece of brass in a slot in a box that holds 50 or 100 rounds for bulk storage.
 
Think like the bee in its hive. OK cases are round not hexagonal but I hope this explais the method. Store your brass in bulk bought cardboard boxes or even old shotgun cartridge boxes and stack the brass nose to tail just like shotgun cartridges are packed in those same twenty-five round boxes? Most clay pigeon grounds will ahve such boxes for free. And of course they can be packed flat.

I batch load, 50 at a time, and rotate the brass, the MTM work well!

If you’ve got more brass then you need scrap it!
 
really useful boxes - 9 litre recycled boxes. hold almost a thousand 223. stack very well, come with lids, one per calibre
I may use/have quite a lot of 223/556 and have lots of 38 cases.
where I have less of a calibre, say 6.5 I keep all the kit for that calibre in the box as well in a smaller box to separate it from the brass


50 at a time is not batch loading..... the thrower hasn't even had time to warm up by then

Here in Germany the milk comes either in Tetra paks or bottles.
I use the Tetra paks for case storage, I wash out the 1 litre size ones then cut off the pyramid tops and write with a sharpie inside at the top which make the cases in it are. So then in a cardboard shipping carton I can have say 10x of these for all the different make cases of one calibre that come along then I write outside on the big carton which calibre they all are. It makes sorting them so much easier for my main hobby.
The nine Morrisons fresh milk products in Tetra Pak cartons come in 500ml, 1 litre and 2 litre sizes and collecting them comes free although it will take time, drives my missus crazy.
 
Ice cream tubs (2l?) will hold a lot of cases, don’t ask me how many as I don’t bother counting but for 222 or 223 I’d say 800-1000 easily, & you can put the lids on them & then stack them if you need to. Have an ask around your local restaurants etc. as they only get chucked in the recycling after use.

Thinking about it, these are the larger 4 litre tubs 👍
