Brewdog

I'll stick with Rebellion in Marlow and Malt in Prestwood. Local breweries with plenty of superb falling over water at very reasonable pricing
We have Black Isle, Cromarty, Lossiemouth and cairngorm breweries which all produce fantastic beers of all types, with none of the shite that brewdog throw around

Black Isle also do 'off-fill' sales, where a bottle has been either slightly over or under filled, was a great deal at 99p each when I was there pre-CV19.

Spent a long time holding bottles up to the light to compare fill levels

And Deeside and SixDegreesNorth, neither of which abuse their employees as far as I know. I know the owner of the latter and some of the folk who work for him - he's a decent and very hard-working person.

Solid gold? They will have to pay up. Basic legal case that you pretty much learn the first lesson of the first day of learning contract law. Carlill vs Carbolic Smoke Ball. And perhaps a criminal offence as well under consumer law. Double trouble.

I don't drink. Can someone boycott Brewdog on my behalf please.
I have to admit that I know nothing about the owners, but I have been enjoying their “triple hazy” for a while. It’s very nice.
I’m willing to boycott it and drink one of the Belgian tripels made by monks instead, on your behalf. 👍
I don’t like smarmy. You don’t see monks getting all smarmy on tv.

Top man. Don't feel you need to stop at one though. I never did...

Oh yes, right you are!
I just did a bit of interweb searching……
The brew dog brand seems to give the impression that they are a wee microbrewery sticking two fingers up at the big corporations….turns out they sold 22% of the company for £213,000,000 in 2017.
What a bunch of bullshitters 🤣

Correct. They persuaded thousands of small investors to invest in “punk equity “ to bankroll company expansion before they sold a chunk of the company to private equity in the deal you describe above. It appears that the PE firm gets a guaranteed return in the case of a company sell off or IPO, which could leave the poor punks with nothing. Understandably, some punks are not too happy.
Their arrogance annoys me - they treat their customers like fools.

Given all the public and freely available information on them now, their remaining customers are fools. I was not averse to a Punk IPA or three, but it was always blatantly apparent these lads were in it for the serious money, not to give manbag carrying, designer beard twiddling woke halfwits somewhere and something to sip that was guilt free.

They were not what they proclaimed to be even at the start.
One of their dads has a large Pelagic Fishing boat and is a multi millionaire.

They got their big break when Diagio said that under no circumstances do Brew Dog win ‘blah blah Beer award. (Diagio were sponsoring the awards).
Brew Dog got hold of the letter and took out full page adds in the press, and Diagio had to make a grovelling appology.

They dont like it when you go in and ask for a Lager that tastes like Lager.

I will admit to buying Brewdog shares a good few years ago, but don't like the way they have gone over the last 5 or 6 years. Like them or not you can't deny these guts are marketing wizards
