Hi.
Got an old BRNO .22lr rifle, don’t want anything for it it is basically worthless sadly as they’re cracking rifles but I don’t want to have it chopped up and the gunshops are not interested the rifle
It shoots fine works fine just barely shot and I’m wanting to get a semi auto ruger for plinking

If anyone wants to come to Fife near the Bridges for it happy to transfer it over but I will be checking out the license number with Police at point of sale (so any dodgy fkrs get lost)

Well only copper ammo is useful to me asides from my target rifles so that gets spendy obviously. I just want to get it shot of but I’m not wanting to have it scrapped and gunshops just send them to holts because the markets abroad favour them more. There really nice rifles and I’d keep it if I could hold infinite .22 rifles but sadly you have to have each one reasoned so meh is what it is
If I can find a way to come up with another .22 slot maybe I’ll keep it if nobody takes it

I have five rimfire and a slot for a sixth! My garden rifle is a .22 BRNO Model 2. Love it.

I did. Say you want two 22lr rifles, one of which will be open sight use only or a quad / truck gun.
I've got two 22lr's and two Section 1 shotguns. I gave a very basic reason for an extra of both.

Wouldn’t mind having that many RF’s lol, a neighbour told me the FEO (same as mine) is pretty chill with anything up to .22 centrefire after that they ask questions so might try get another added, they’re just RF rifles after all ffs not like it’s .50bmg 😂
 
At the end of the day, you don't need an overwhelming reason to own anything, you just need a good reason / justification. I shoot foxes with a 45ACP and a 300WM quite legally, and so I should be able to. Admittedly both have other purposes for the reason.
You here of people saying that had to almost beg their FEO to change from a .243 to a .270, which shouldn't be the case. Fortunately, I've had a much fairer and easier time than this.
Give it a go, there's not really any reason for them to refuse.

I have reasons to be applying for anything up to .50bmg as in a club aswell as have my own hunting ground, I don’t think centrefires or rifles are conditioned like in England less you don’t have ground in which case all will be for use at the range but I have reason to use any gun suitable for hunting soo
Your right tho maybe I’m just overthinking it, I’ll be honest too I just cba having to explain why I want blah blah so haven’t bothered my ass yet to get the .338 lap I have reason for and I’m wanting an underlever .44mag which again I’ve got cause
Managed to punt that rifle on now so I might stick in for another .22lr as a target rifle and my semi auto for mucking around with aswell as the ,338 just hope they don’t condition them so I can use the .338 for the reds on some ground I have access to

I think that's a good plan. I hope all goes well. Just say you want to use one exclusively with open sights.
