I believe in the states they don’t advertise the full price including taxes, as that varies from state to state.

Obviously by the time it gets here there’s duties and VAT.

Don't forget UK RFD also need ro make a profit to stay open

As mentioned shipping, import tax/VAT and US to pound value hasn't been good for years, long gone are the days of £1 = $2

We have a smaller customer base and less ££ in the sport than the US
We'd soon be less happy if we lost 50% of the UK RFD/retailers

We are stuck with it to be fair. I've travelled to the US at least once a year for the last ten years (except when closed due to COVID) and the store prices have sales tax too which varied by state and cna be in exceed of 8%.
I often don't buy much as the UK prices are not far off so not worth it I less on sale/drop on a deal/hard to get over here and of course not ITAR items
