Budget Scope Advise

If your bolt is touching the scope You could shim the mounts to gain a fraction more height to clear the scope?

I did this on my P-H using strips of thin perspex type plastic from the packaging my bipod came in, together with a bit of that slightly spongy double sided sticky tape that's sold for affixing car number plates.
It's completely invisible, and raised the scope just enough.

Thanks everyone for all the advice, it is much appreciated.

I think I might just have to bite the bullet and buy the Leupold mounting system, then I'll be able to just choose the scope based on its qualities and not try to figure out whether it will fit past the bolt!

Cheers everyone,

Ryan

IMO, the right decision, keep us in the Leup?

You need to know that it's advisable on first mounting the rear base to check that the bolt doesn't just clip the corner of the base as mine did, a few strokes of the file cured it.

Feel free to Pm if you want?
