I'm currently looking for a budget scope option to fit onto my .223. I bought the rifle s/h but couldn't stretch to the scope that was previously fitted to it. It came with a combined mount/rings set up in 30mm so I'm currently looking for something budget just to get me up and running initially in 30mm tube and sub 50mm (The previous scope was a 50mm and apparently a very, very snug fit to the barrel so probably no biggerthan 45mm ish).
There doesn't seem to be much around second hand that fit the budget t the mo and that lead me to looking into stuff like the Discovery range. All of the things I've read seem fairly positive considering the low price point but does nyone have any real world ezperience of them or similar?
