Bullpup, bolt action, straight pull rifle.

I have some more information now:

The concept bullpup rifle on show was custom-made by an individual using the Finnish Lynx straight pull action.
The entire rifle chassis is a one piece aluminium casting machined to accommodate the action and the connecting linkage for the operation of the safety catch and trigger, with the sight system bolted onto an independent frame so that there is a completely free floating barrel, hence its incredible accuracy.

That's the one.

The Lynx straight pull action is amazing. Very very smooth and strong. Fantastic actions.

I am not aware of the rifle mentioned but am a fan of the "bullpup" concept. I use a Pfeiffer SR2, 26inch barrel and 27.5 inches long plus Mod, which is easy to carry and accurate. No magazine load length issues in fact no magazine faff at all and quiet in operation.
I too had one of these in 6PPC calibre. I think mine was probably owned by another SD member before I bought it used from Steve Beaty, I think?
Easy to load to all species deer legal in England, can’t remember whether I got it to Scottish Legal.
Really should not have given that one away.
Ken.

If it was in Herefordshire I know who built it and what it's based upon.
. 308 by any chance.
The guy who built it has been working on this bullpup concept for a while. Very knowledgeable guy. Been tweaking it here and there. All his own work.

I know what it's based upon but without his say so not disclosing on an open forum.

By the way what was the event in Herefordshire?

My money was on K31, can see it's a Lynx now mind.

Have worked on a few of the French built Crapahute rifles - all tack drivers

Jean-Paul Baptiste the maker is very skilled - the only thing to watch is the secondary slave trigger linkage.

The Lynx design is also very solid and it’s an ingenious person who’s adapted one to a bullpup

If a little marmite in looks

Here! ;)

I suspect the convoluted articulation of the shooter's right arm and hand might negate the perceived advantage of a straight pull, although it's possibly easily to manipulate than a traditional bolt throw?

The DSR1 looks interesting if you're into black rifles.

Not there !
A customer at Alec Dalgliesh in Eaglesham as l recall, unusual to say the least,
near impossible to cycle on the shoulder as a conventional bolt action.
The bloke eventually sold it.

Buck.

If only it looked as good as the 1969 TV series it reminds me of:
