Bushcraft - what?

That was a Victorian style 6' 32lb Lemonwood and Hickory back. Black buffalo nocks and pigskin handle wrap over an ebony arrow plate. It is still shooting sweet after three years of weekly use.
I have also made ash self-bows, hornbeam (not at all responsive),apple (followed the string badly, but was entertaining) amongst others.

Stringmaking is the other absorbing aspect.

Do you back with sinew and hide glue? I used to suffer from the 10 shot bow lifespan as I learned. Sinew got me into the 100 shot lifespan even on my not so good bows.

I've seen sinew backing on american flat bows and some people have tried it on pyramid bows and the early holmegaard style bow (I think) but not on the long bow with its 'D' shaped cross section

It has a pretty dramatic effect on flat bows apparently - as you have indicated

Coincidentially, just seen latest Bushcraft oriented post on Instagram from Foxylaura243. A gentleman would never enquire regards how her beard was doing - but from the pics and video posted ( the snow sledging one highly recommended - only from perspective of proving a point ) I suspect she isnt a 'real' bushcrafter at all as defined by some of the posts thus far :D

Are you getting as many on your Bushcraft course as the DSC1? (you taught me)
Paracord sales must be on the up..
