I have a question about thread comment removal. In particular the thread regarding Edinburgh Rifles and Blaser UK and the way it’s been censored.

You should only get one attempt at a first impression. It’s unfair to remove comments and change the course of events purely because they didn’t go the way you expected.

Agree! Where’s all the thread comments gone?? Most bizarre way to introduce oneself to the forum but it appears their slate has been wiped clean.

Thank you Mr B. I have only noticed the removal, but only as far as the blaser introduction. Looks like a case of 'Oops sorry, lets forget all that and start again,I had no idea your Trade member,Edinburgh Rifles, had such a following' john

So much for open and honest. Little bit disappointing really as the post was a perfect example of how the SD community works and showed that Edinburgh Rifles was held in extremely high regard by a number of members who’ve Dealt with Ed personally.

Maybe be next time I wade in and write something I later regret, a message to the mods will see me sorted.
Id much rather have seen an apology from Blaser for the comments posted.

Hey ho, it’s not my train set, I’m just a passenger.

Ed's ad for his rifle is perfectly legitimate, the fact that he was challenged by another member regarding his ad was not, it was contrary to the sites rules re heckling posts on an advertising thread therefore they were removed. So any suggestion that the posts were removed for any reason other than contravening site rules are wrong. To be honest I have difficulty understanding the reasoning behind the original post. The thread was not censored,
neither were comments removed to change the course of events purely because they didn’t go the way you expected. The original advertising post for the rifle is still there, the rest of the dross has been removed.

John
