Can any of you blokes help out?

My house back door is half glass...I looked out one day and saw my 3 Weis in a group stretched out on the lawn in the warm sun and all were fast asleep. Then horror overtook me. Curled up in the middle of them was an adult Red Belly Black Snake. What to do? If they woke and saw it in they'd immediately be all over it with all 3 likely to be bitten. I figured that if I burst out the door in a flat out run to the back fence they'd instantly wake and come with me without hesitation and not see the snake. So I did, they did and as planned they didn't see the snake. Responding to the activity around it the snake disappeared...never saw it again. Phew...tragedy averted.

You’re terrible. They are seriously misunderstood and lovely and cuddly. You should put your face to the grate and tell him you understand and empathize and if he’ll just come out he can live at your house…..
You need to cancel your Disney subscription brother , not judging, just saying lol .

I thought I'd revive this thread due to a recent snake occurrence which directly affected me. It seems I'm going to have to revive my snake aversion program....for me. That's right! I got tagged by an Eastern Brown. Been very sick with it.... Doctors, hospital etc and it's not over yet. It seems that it takes a while for the body to try and recover and/or adjust to permanent damage from the toxins in the venom.

Missy and I were just wandering along a river bank when whammo. The unseen Brown hit me about 8 inches above my ankle. That ruined my day out on the trout somewhat....... For years I've always maintained that if I got hit it would be the unseen snake that would probably get me...and I was prophetic....'cos it did.

the fact that you are replying on here means that about the bite that "she`ll be right cobber"

Good luck.

Thank you. I didn't know people could get that sick and still be alive.
Glad to hear you're alright . I had a close call with a green tree viper about two weeks ago . I was at a friend's place having a few beers , I walked to the back of the property for a quick pee . While staring off into into space doing my business into the bushes, I noticed a pair of eyes about three feet away . After a few quick back steps and a hurried zip , I called out to Chantra , my friend , that there was a viper in his yard . He replied , oh yes , cobra too ............. Apparently , the phrase " a heads up " doesn't exist in Cambodia lol . The wife almost stepped on a Banded Krait when we were walking into town one night . I don't think it matters how vigilant you are , it's the ones you don't see that'll nail you .
