Can we not do anything about a weasel?

I've been kept up at night by the dormice on Miljet whilst camping there (a truly beautiful special place, I think the last island in Croatia to have it's natural woodland left), bouncing about in the trees and chattering. Tempted to have trapped a few, no shortage, and seen how edible they are, but they are a protected species here.

Got talking to a local couple, who were keen on hunting in Croatia and Slovenia. It turned out that they kept goats, which have to be absolutely restricted to avoid damage to the habitat, and had some kids which they didn't know what to do with. An hour later we had done the dirty deed which they weren't quite prepared to do themselves, and roasted one over a wood fire with onions and garlic. I do like tender young goat, that was a night to remember. Next day helped them fix their solar hot water system.

A few days later in Ston, also got to eat some very odd looking seafood that I subsequently learned was absolutely illegal. But delicious. The whole place had been wrecked by a severe earthquake a few years before and the people were struggling to get by.

That was quite a few years ago.

Now Johnny, I like to read your daily reports, but have no relevant comments to contribute, it seems to be a quite different way of life for you. If you do get over here to bag a muntjac, try to fit in with our funny old ways. Otherwise, I have to say, that you seem to have some traits in common with CP, such as always being perfect, and seeking affirmation. so I won't accept a lecture from you. Nor can you expect affirmation from me.

Nevertheless, please keep on posting your stuff, I do look at it, and find it very interesting.

I feel a lock down coming on .Packham and cronies are trying again to scupper the badger cull by insisting the companies set up to do this address the fox population since the removal of so many badgers .Ground nesting birds have been mentioned which is so hypocritical that it won’t even get a mention in the press .They are requiring all companies to keep a record of foxes culled ,a practise they are not set up to do .Apparently this years license is being reviewed by NE in light of this .

CP having mental health issues probably helps fulfil some "diversity target" that the British Broadcorping Castration feel they are compelled to meet :-|
