can you ID this rifle please?

Hello Gents. I have acquired a BSA rifle in 222 Rem. I was told it is a MONARCH but I cannot find any marking to indicate the model.
It has a floor plate magazine, to the remove the bolt the trigger is pressed forward. It is drilled and tapped for (the very common) Remington 700 style scope mounts.
It has a 22 inch barrel and very nice wood with a MC stock and fancy pistol grip and forend of different wood (rosewood maybe?) with a white spacer between.

You can attach photos from your phone or pc using the paper clip attach files tab on the left opposite the post reply button. Simply browse and select.
As for which model without pictures it is almost impossible. For example bar the way the bolt is released (iirc) you could be describing the CF2 I had.

To attach a photo simply click on the “Attach files” box (see pic) which will then give you a three option dropdown menu; select “Photo Library” and this will open your phones photo collection, click on the photo of choice and then hit “add” on the top rhs corner. Your picture will appear in micro at the foot of your post page then you hit “insert” which gives you the option of Thumbnail or Full image - this example is thumbnail. If happy click on Post Reply…..

Could be a Majestic, does the bolt shroud look like this? If it does, ie it has a rounded profile when viewed from the side, then it’s a Majestic.

No. For 1, that rifle has integral dovetail bases and mine does not.
And 2, at the back of the shroud, there is a small pin that extends with a red dot , I am assuming to show "ready to fire" which extends when ready to fire but then slightly retracts when fired

If it has an angular profile when viewed from the side then it’s a Monarch like this.

That's it exactly. So it is a Monarch !
Same two holes in the side of the receiver. Same angle
The "red pin to show "cocked" extends straight up on the horizontal spot on the bolt

Serial no is 2M - which is for 222 according to the chart
But rifle is a regular hunting profile IMO, I would not call it a heavy barrel
