Carbon fibre tripods for stalking?

Tripods are horrible IMO. Had a guy come stalking with me with triggersticks and they weren't very useful.
Agreed.

Tripods have a use for static ambushes, especially on hilly ground with deep vegetation. Like setting up on a forestry track in deep bracken and waiting for them to come out in clearfell on the opposite side of the valley. But horrible in other contexts.

And trigger sticks… every client I’ve ever had who had them either didn’t use them at all, or had endless problems with them.

I have a set of trigger sticks and they work fine if you know how to use them :)

I've used a set of Rekon trigger sticks for years now, and for my particular form of shooting (mainly static), they are brilliant. When I'm on the move, I find my (I think) Gen 2 trigger sticks are fine. I've tried quad sticks, but on the really hilly ground that I shoot over, I could never get on with them.

To add to my previous comment the only thing I would change if I could is make the legs slightly longer so its a taller tripod. Its fine if you're using a bag on top but it can be abit low when clipped in
