Get a terrier

A chum of mine had to get rid of his terrier after the 12th "mishap" with neighbourhood cats

A friend had a similar problem and had a contraption with a pir which activated a valve on the hosepipe with a nozzle pointing right at the required spot. No staying up with a water pistol or catapult for him.

The other option is to get a mature, entire Tom cat of your own, just an ordinary semi feral farm type is fine. Not only will it eject other cats from your home and surroundings it will go round your neighbours for a crap once it has given their cat a bloody good hiding.

I like that idea... one of my daughters is desperate for a cat... not sure an entire male barn cat is what she is looking for though

We've got the same problem in raised beds, we put mesh on the surface so the cat can't scratch. It seems to work mostly.

I was once asked to shoot feral cats if I saw them, I asked how you tell it's feral. It's more than 50 yards from a house was the reply! I made my excuses.

had it happen to me quite a few years back when i stayed in a different house, bloody fecking thing was sh1ting on my lawn, i sprinckled pepper everywhere ... worked a treat fecking little sh1t never came back

I am one that has great admiration for the feline family`s ability to do what they do and do oh so well whether tabby or tiger.
There is no room anywhere near my home for cats,they are a scourge. Shoot or trap then shoot.
